Our first effort was the Snow Pod which was designed to climb glaciated mountains such as Mt. Hood and Mt. Rainier in the Pacific Northwest.  For details on these efforts see The Crank Rainier Project.

Our dream is to create a disabled mountaineering group.  We hope to build a fleet of Snow Pods which would be owned by a separate organization which would guide clients up mountains or on glacier tours.  The guiding organization, modeled after the many adaptive ski programs, would be funded primarily through charitable donations.  Mobility Engineering would work closely with the guiding organization providing Snow Pods and technical assistance.  We have been working with Disabled Sports USA to make this happen.
